RDR Leaves ELS Tour

The last thing that Run Doris Run wants to do is disappoint our fans, but sad to say, it has come down to that. Due to reasons far out of our hands we were forced to leave The Everlasting Sound Tour prematurely. Sometimes bands have to make hard decisions and this was one of those times. I speak for all of us when I say we were more than excited to get on the road and have our first national tour, and more than disappointed when we had to leave.
Those of you who are distant from us and are still waiting for a live show don’t fret. We plan on finishing all aspects of our new album “Vultures” and heading out on the road shortly after.

Although we are now off the tour we still highly encourage you and your friends to go to a show and watch all our new friends play their music. It was a short run but it was enough to listen to all these bands and tell that they are all something special.

We made it to Utah last night and, thanks to David from Panima, had a
warm bed and a roof to sleep under. We are making our way to the venue
right now, but might stop at a near by disc gold course before the

We are enjoying our day off with a lovely ten hour drive to SLC Utah.
Danny was nice enough to buy the Back to the Future trilogy set before
we left. Hell yea

The show at Fresno was awesome. A little hot inside but still butt
loads of old fashion fun. Now if we only had some bug repellant.

New Music

As you may have noticed we have posted TWO new songs on our myspace from our new album "Vultures." We hope everyone enjoys them and lets us know what you think of them in our myspace comments. We also got a shout out on absolutepunk.net about the new songs and are excited about the reviews on there as well.

Mike and Jared

Well me and Jared have been very busy at warped tour. We met a lot of cool people and are still going strong selling our Ep's. We just enjoyed two days off and are now ready to get back on the tour. Today we are in Fresno. If you are coming to the show today be sure to say hi, or any other days like Chula Vista or Carson. Here is a picture of the Gorge, probably the coolest venue that the Warped Tour goes to each year.

We hope we get to meet a lot more fans, dont be shy.

As we get closer and closer to finishing our album, we also get closer to Mike and Jared departing for their segment of Warped Tour. Music Saves Lives has been kind enough to let them bunk with them on their bus.

All of the bands were amazing and we were able to make some new friends after the show. Im glad there was such a good turn out and i hope everyone who came has opened their ears to new bands and will keep listening to what they enjoyed. Book Book Book, Is that right?...

We are in the midst of booking shows for RDR in our area in March and April. Word on the street is that we might be doing a short tour near the end of April....but you didn't hear it from us!

In other news we have our album title and half of the music done along with album art on the way. So don't be suprised to see one of those cheesy "coming soon" banners with our album art on it.

All is well in the RDR circle. Working hard in the studio as well as at our jobs(thats right, we have real jobs also). We are keeping out of the spot light for a little more than a month but DONT FORGET ABOUT US! When we come back we should be breaking out with our new CD....sooner or later.

Through the Looking Glass

Well we are starting to have faith that we will finish this record before we get gray hairs. We are working hard and as often as possible in the studio working with Dan Petel and Ian Kirkpatrick recording every sound you will hear on this album. It's taking a lot of soda and tons of Chipotle burritos but we are still going as strong as the day we started. We know there songs won't disappoint and we know that this is going to be our best album yet.

We are home again! Our homecoming show went great also. Don't forget there is one more official show for the digital donation tour on the 8th of February.
